With spring and summer come fun warm weather drinks. While delicious, traditional warm weather cocktails like Margaritas and Hard Lemonades can contribute a lot of extra calories and refined sugar to your diet. If you are looking for the fun of a summer cocktail without the extra calories and sugar, consider giving these summertime hydration drinks a try:

Ingredients
  • 1 ½ quarts (6 cups) of fresh chilled watermelon cubes
  • 4 oz (½ cup) lime juice
Directions

Blend watermelon and lime juice in a blender until smooth. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Makes 4 – 1 cup servings. Calories per serving: 80

Ingredients
  • 7 oz frozen raspberries
  • Juice of 1 lemon (¼ cup)
  • 8 oz of soda water
  • 3 ice cubes
  • 1 Tbsp agave nectar
Directions

Put all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Makes 2 – 8oz servings. Calories per serving: 65

Ingredients
  • 5 cups sugar-free limeade
  • ½ cup fresh squeezed orange juice
  • ¼ cup lime juice
  • ¼ tsp coarse salt (optional)
  • 2 cups sparkling water or club soda
Directions

Combine limeade, orange juice and lime juice in a pitcher or large bowl. Add salt. Stir well until salt is dissolved. Top with sparkling water or club soda. Add ice. Serve. Makes 8 – 8 oz servings. Calories per serving: <10
